Zagreb: The Best European Destination According to Lonely Planet

Every year, the prestigious travel guide company Lonely Planet makes a list of best places to visit in Europe. The old continent is a land of amazing sights and fascinating tales, so the competition is always very high. However, this year’s peak of the list was reserved for Croatian capital. According to Lonely Planet, Zagreb is No. 1 destination one can travel to in 2017.

Describing the city as both cosmopolitan and edgy, travel publisher’s experts noted the unique street art pieces, outdoor canvasses and plenty of unique galleries as features of Zagreb. They also underlined the blossoming of food and craft beer scene, which will surely delight the visitors.  The city can also be proud of its new airport terminal and novel flight routes.
