For residents of Zagreb, Kavkaz is not merely a nice coffee room situated next to Croatian National Theater. It is a palace of culture that inspired many important locals for their work, including poets, writers and journalists. The recent renovation of this place has brought a new feature for its visitors: a beautiful cellar-like space that hasn’t been used before. With help of architect Mirta Mujacic Dakovic, this forgotten chamber has been transformed into a very attractive piano bar.
The place is charming because of the dome-like brick arches that can be observed on the ceiling. They are a nice touch and remind the piano bar guests that they are situated in chamber with history behind. A glimpse of past times can be sensed, even when coupled with a modern interior design, contemporary drink offer and gentle sounds of music.
