It doesn’t matter from which part of the world you are visiting Croatia. You will always have enough time for a cup of tea. And if you are in Town of Sisak, which is located in inland region of the country, you are bound to have a special experience.

The perfect spot for these enjoyments can be found in Frankopanska Street 5, where a tea shop called Dzennet serves no less than 37 organic blends of this drink. The owner is Sanja Hodak, an experienced interior and floral designer, who found inspiration in her husband’s native town of Sarajevo, the capital of neighboring Bosnia.

„Supported by my husband’s efforts, I opened this tea-drinking place in an old building, which is under state protection,“ Hodak explained. „I named it Dzennet, which is an Oriental word for Heaven.“

The interior design favors wood, natural fibers and wool. It is filled with items and furniture from distant countries, such as Iran.“Some of them come from our private collection, while the others were custom-built from the blueprints made by my husband and I,“ Sanja continues.

Dzennet is gaining momentum as you read these lines. It already became one of the most beloved gathering spots to Sisak residents. If you wish to have a cup of tea in great company and fancy interior, this might just be the place.
