Track the Making of Medieval Fort Replica

What does it take to make a replica of an old fort? Veseljko and Silia Otocan might know that more than others. This couple of Istrian residents decided to construct a large building in the surroundings of Rapanji, near Svetvincenta settlement, which mimics the architecture of the old. They wish to promote tourism and history of the region, which had its share of knight duels and court intrigues.

Otocan family also plans to use the new structure for cultural events, including medieval festivals. Plus, they intend to run a restaurant onsite, which will serve the food from that time period, or be inspired by Istria’s long past.

The works are nearly finished, but some things still need to be concluded. However, the owners allowed our team to take a few photos of the construction site. Check out what the place looks like at the moment, and image what you will be able to enjoy in Svetvincenta in the near future.
