Croatian Tourist Season Ends with a Banquet
With October closing to its end, Croatian tourist season ends. The gentle days of summer are definitely behind us, and the beaches are reserved for those who like their swims extra chilly. Yet, there is a plethora of things for foreign visitors to do and enjoy in the upcoming months. From spa centers to secluded forest localities, the country is anything but dull and empty. In a way, the adventures one can have in Croatia are just beginning, and the conclusion of one period is merely an introduction to the other.
The peaking Croatian Tourist season ends in Dubrovnik as well, which traditionally stages a grandiose outdoor banquet for everyone to enjoy. The most renowned culinary experts of Adriatic region were offering their specialties on Stradun, the central street of Dubrovnik historical core. There were many things to try and taste, and the whole event was a spectacle to attend. All the acquired money went for humanitarian causes, financing the work of organizations that train guide dogs.
As Dubrovnik is among the most popular tourist destinations in the world, the number of foreign visitors is rarely low. Many had the opportunity to join the banquet, and explore the rich realm of Croatian cuisine and its top-rated wine scene. Check out our image gallery below depicting the event, and be inspired to visit the country, even outside its summer season. After all, most- if not all- of the dining spots which participated in the banquet are always opened, and will gladly provide hospitality no matter the time of the year.
