If you have enjoyed the eagerly awaited movie ‘Mamma Mia Here We Go Again!’ than you are probably aware that it was filmed on Croatian Island of Vis. The gorgeous Adriatic sceneries have greatly added to feeling of spectacle and increased the fame of the country across the globe. In a way, the much-loved sequel to Mamma Mia is a filmic postcard from Croatia sent to every viewer of the film. We were naughty in our own way, and sent our photo teams to spy on the filming set while it was active on Adriatic Shores.

The success of the movie is still generating fame for Island Vis. The latest achievement is destination’s inclusion to candidates for this year’s European Film Location Award. It is recognition of one locality’s filmic appeal and influence it gained in the world of seventh art. Organized for the second time by European Film Commissions Network, the competition is vote-based and active at the moment.
