Tribunj Donkey Race Finishes with Splendor
There are many things to love about Tribunj settlement in Dalmatia. However, nothing beats the uniqueness of traditional Donkey Race that takes place every year on the village main promenade. Organized for the 51st time, the prestigious event is closest to Formula One competition that Croatia has to offer.
This year, the fastest donkey was owned by Angelino Perkov. His blazing-speed 4X donkey was the first to reach the finish line. Called Misko, it is widely regarded as excellent donkey and one of the fastest animals in whole Croatia.
Traditionally taking place on the first day of August, Tribunj donkey races are among the most popular manifestations of comical nature in Dalmatia. Founded by a group of witty students more than half of century ago, the competition attracts audiences both local and foreign.
