The Adriatic Times Sinke

It is easy to fall in love with Motovun, a small walled town in Croatia’s Istria region. Especially if you observe its charming roofs from the window of Sancta Maria, a gorgeous Croatia villa located on the slopes of surrounding mountains. Combining luxury with fable-like scenery, the estate is more than able to provide its guests with amazing vacation experience.

The owner is a passionate collector of antique things with an eye for design and beauty. He arranged the structure in a way which underlines the local architectural heritage, so visitors are literally experiencing authentic Istrian tradition during their stay.

Even the furniture in Sancta Maria has been carefully chosen. It was either acquired on an influential antique fair in Oprtalj, or made by crafty hands of Buzet carpenters. And just to add a little touch of exclusivity, the owners added several items which they obtained during their globe-trotting travels.  The final result is a cozy, inviting environment which is pleasing to every visitor.

The outdoor space was also designed by owners themselves. A large Mediterranean arboretum dominates the scene, and walking through it allows you to see numerous plant species, including palms, oranges, figs and many more. The owners also note that their guests have unique view of surrounding Istrian landscape, which includes the Valley of Mirna River and thick forests of Motovun Woods. As already stated, one can see the Town of Motovun as well.

The villa also comes with a large outdoor pool, which has 100 square meters in size.
