The story begun this summer, when hair stylist Petar Grdovic joined skills with designer Klaudija Zubcic, aiming to form a new place for Zadar people to enjoy. Called Pero Colorbar, it is a combination of everybody’s favorite coffee shop and a modern hair dressing saloon.

“Petar has been my friend for many years. He is a great hair dresser, with special talent for coloring. After many years of improving his skills in London, he is more than ready to show his talent in Croatia,” Klaudija stated for Croatia Times source.  She was happy to assist Grdovic on his way, and in return, he gave her free hands to decorate his saloon.

According to couple, the idea was to make an ideal combination of a charming coffee bar and modern hairdresser saloon. It was imagined to be classy and glamorous, inspired with Parisian boudoir style. The central feature of the interior is a large bar, which provides hospitality to clients as they wait for their turn on the seats. To secure space and allow even more comfort, visitors can rest their stuff in specially designed lockers, and take away the key.

“Part of the furniture had to be custom-made, as the space required it. Some of the stuff has a designer signature, though,” Klaudija explains. “As for the lighting, we worked with professionals of Bi Lumen Company. It was required, as Petar plans to have educational seminars in the saloon. So, lights have to be perfect for every occasion. “

“People working with tiles were exceptionally professional. We literally had to cut every tile in order to follow the flooring. At the end, we threw out more tile material than we actually used,” Klaudija concluded with giggles.
