Meet Croatia under White Layer
People usually imagine Croatia as a sunny country where temperatures never lower below digits that are pleasant for swimming. However, that is not so. The country’s climate greatly changes in winter months, and snow is never a real surprise. Yet, Croatia under white layer can be equally beautiful and entertaining as its summer counterpart, especially in highland region of Lika.
In recent years, snowy weather usually showed its true form in the second half of the winter season, but it is not a rule. Currently, certain towns and villages in Croatian mountains are almost inaccessible, and army was sent to clear out the passages. It seems that skiing and sledding will be the prime form of entertainment for quite a lot of time.
It is difficult to imagine that in a few months, beaches of Croatia will be full of bathers and people enjoying the sun. If you are in the country at the moment, it is advisable not to travel unless absolutely necessary. Instead, enjoy Croatia under white layer from our image gallery below. Photographs were taken in Town of Gracac.
