The Croatian Island of Korcula has many things to boast about on international tourist scene. It is a home to Moreska, a Croatian warrior dance in which participants wield real weapons. It has an old Cathedral dedicated to Saint Mark, dating from 15th century and featuring sculptures by renowned artist Ivan Mestrovic.

According to some scholars, Korcula was the birthplace of famous explorer Marco Polo. Another unique feature of the island is grk, a local brand of white wine which isn’t a subject of export. This means you can only taste it while being on Korcula. Naturally, it is a product of the island’s vineyards, which are highly regarded by wine-loving scene.

Well connected with mainland via ferries from Peljesac peninsula, Korcula is annually visited by hundreds of foreign visitors. Coming to this island will never be a mistake, and you can rest assured that every Korcula Beach will be the scenery you need for your vacation in Croatia.
