The Adriatic Times Sinke

In many ways, Biokovo is a symbol to Dalmatian highlands. This large mountain range bonds coastal areas with more continental parts of Croatia, and includes charming villages such as Zagvozd and  Gornja Vrela. The mountain has some of the most pristine landscapes in Europe and its northern regions have the status of nature park. During warmer months, it is a lovely tourist destination that can be approached by organized bus tours. Some choose to reach Biokovo peaks on their own, which is not a prudent choice for inexperienced climbers. But once in the heights, the mountain allows a gorgeous view of Adriatic seas as well as attractive localities on their shores. If visiting Dalmatia, Biokovo is certainly a place you’d like to explore.
