The Adriatic Times Sinke

Croatian City of Split has been enriched with a rather unique feature. In addition to the likes of Froggyland, visitors of Dalmatian Capital will be able to challenge their perceptions in the Museum of Senses. The novel exhibition space is located in City Center One shopping mall, which can be found in Vukovarska Street 207.

But what is actually Museum of Senses? It is a very educative and entertaining place to be, aimed to introduce you to your own sensory abilities. We use our senses every day- but how do they actually communicate with our bodies and in which way they adjust to exterior impulses? This museum will try to answer these questions.

The museum spreads over 400 square meters and has several dozens of sense-inducing installations.  These are categorized in five sections, each dealing with another sense (these being sight, hearing, touch, balance and sound).

The main motif of these installations is Split and its notable residents. The attendees will thus have an opportunity to play basketball with notable sportsman Dino Rada and even become higher than him. In another installation they will be able to discover scents of Adriatic Sea or play an illusionary round of picigin. Finally, they will enjoy the music of famous Split authors in a quite specific context. Having safe environment, the museum of senses is an ideal place for family visit with children.

The Museum will be open every day (weekends included) between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. It may be just the place you seek for your stay in Dalmatia. Also check some other notable institutions in Split, such as Cellars of Dioceltian, Ivan Mestrovic Gallery  and Town Archeological Museum.
