Enjoy Fall Colors on Mosor Slopes
The City of Split needs no special introduction. The capital of Croatia’s Dalmatia region has been founded centuries ago by Roman Emperor Diocletian. Neighboring this legendary settlement is Omis, another notable destination on Croatian coast with a unique tale. Unlike Split, Omis served as a base of pirates that plagued Adriatic seas in the past.
But between these two localities, a lovely natural landscape can be discovered. It is called Mosor, and it is among the most popular mountains in Croatia. Blooming with plant and animal life, Mosor charms with its forests and picturesque slopes. It is a great destination for an excursion and makes it easier to understand why old Croats opted to settle in the highlands during hot summer seasons.
The fall season is equally attractive to those who decide to visit Mosor outdoors. Colored in the autumn palette, the beautiful slopes of this mountain are the reason to visit Dalmatia outside of its peak tourist season. With opportunity to connect with nature and its calming vibe, every guest of Croatia may find his or her peace in the mountains of Dalmatia.
