Catch Some Sun with Sibenik Turtles

Human beings are not the only to enjoy the lovely Croatian weather in recent days. Turtles living in the famous Sibenik fountain are having a lot of sunray fun as well. The animals are considered everybody’s pet in the local community and are one of the symbols to the city.

The turtles have plenty of reasons to be happy. You don’t need a professional weather forecast to know that sunny days are ahead and that temperatures will rise with each and every week.

The fountain belongs to Church Gospe van Grada, which tracks its founding in 1740. Two former churches existed on the same spot in the past. The sacral destination is highly regarded by Sibenik residents, especially because of its impressive painting of Infant Jesus and Virgin Mary, believed to to be at least half of millennia old.
