The chef in Zlatan, Nikolina Lončar, Croatian chef champion and representative at international culinary competitions, has been one of the best chefs for many years now. She runs the diner, pizzeria, hotel Zlatan where the awarded restaurant is situated, writes cookbooks, raises two children, and still has time to dwell on how to bring to life and modernize the old grandma’s recipes.
“The guests follow my competitions. They are very curious and come here to see what will happen on the plate they are served”, says Nikolina. Especially true when the names of her meals are such as, “Deer fillet on a mushroom ragout served with mini cabbage rolls stuffed with minced meat and smashed potatoes and ravioli made with nettle and red beet”.
