The sheltered yard in the centre of town hides one of the most wonderful restaurant terraces in Zagreb, an ideal summer place to have a business lunch, dinner with friends or just brunch. Its growing success in the last couple of years is the merit of the consultant chef Mario Čepek who aims at coming close to the origin of food. It is not thus rare to see him fetching the lamb from the island of Krk himself, pickling his own onions and zesting the peel of lemon procured directly from the island of Vis. Season dishes are a rule here, meaning early spring menu will offer cabbage sprouts soup, deserts with sweet and sour cherries, king bolete mushrooms. The dishes, inspired by the national tradition, are accompanied by a wine list offering many Croatian wines.
