The hilly views on the Fruška gora hillsides descend down to the Danube River, all the way to Ilok, Srijem and Backa. A countryside property Principovac and its restaurant sit in an old Odescalchi palace from 1864, surrounded by vineyard will leave you breathless.
But what about the cuisine? Miluska Vranjkovic creates contemporary dishes with local products and sophisticated processing. Try the marinated duck breasts on lentil salad or dried meat pata, fish burger bites and saute vegetables with dill sauce or vineyard escargot, old Ilok style. For the main course, try the beefsteak Principovac in puffed pastry with potato pancake. Make sure you wash it all down with the local white wine Traminac.
