Don’t ask for a menu: ask for the chef’s recommendation instead. The menu is changed daily, but one of the classic dishes is gnudi with salsa.

A great little place seating 16 in Zagreb’s Old Town has become one of the most exciting places to have dinner in Croatia. Run by chef Dino Galvagno, a Sicilian from Zagreb, it has a concept entirely different from other restaurants in Zagreb.

Prasac (Croatian for pig) is not a restaurant for everyone. The process of preparing food is passionate, authentic, original, without compromise, always seasonal and always local, with fresh ingredients obtained daily at Zagreb’s Dolac market. Special attention is paid to less common cuts of meat as well as offal, so if you are partial to cooked veal tongue or liver, this is just the place for you. Don’t expect a rich a la carte menu. Rather, ask about the daily specials.
