The atmosphere in Podravska klet is so intimate it makes you feel awe and makes you want to whisper so you would not end up breaking some unwritten rules. It is built on three floors as a traditional house from Podravina, with mud walls, hand hewed wooden beams, and the roof made of cane.

 

It is not difficult to realize that such atmosphere can only be emphasised by local specialties such as pork shank with cheese and cream, buckwheat porridge, chicken legs, veal steak stuffed with beef tongue…

 

To have a royal treat, they offer Royal steak – this is exactly what they call veal rolls with prosciutto and corn clips. Today’s chef Blaženka Barčenec sticks to the basic rules of genuine traditional cooking.
