Marcellino is definitely not for everyone. The most ambitious restaurant in Zagreb is located in Jurjevska street and is adorned with one of the greenest terraces in the city. The interior is luxurious, the stuff wear gloves. The owner and chef, Mario Čerhak, does not accept any compromises in running the restaurant, but is probably the most innovative chef in Zagreb. Marcellino is the only place in town that wants to serve exclusively haute cuisine. The menu offers logical tuna (demi carpaccio of tuna, soya foam, wasabi pesto, pepper juice and olive oil), emancipated lamb, veal HD, soprano and two tenors… You can choose between the small (4) or full (8 courses) tasting menu. In the room next door is lo-fi version Hugo.
