Description
Morgan is not a typical Istrian tavern. It is a more urban, decently decorated restaurant, and the word tavern (Croatian: konoba) in its name mostly refers to the simplicity of cooking and meals prepared by the owner Ana Morgan. They are carefully prepared classical Istrian dishes, but also different interpretations of venison or poultry they breed themselves.
Rich, mildly sour venison soup, ravioli stuffed with rooster meat, local pickled vegetables, season products, and the long wine list, are all reasons why Morgan is always full, noisy and lively, no matter if you sit inside or on the terrace with a fantastic view of the vineyard covered hills. The wine card, although not long, should be complimented. It offers interesting Istrian, Slovenian and Italian selections.
