Description

Croatia turist from Đakovo has a long lasting tradition. It is located opposite to the beautify Stross- mayer Park, few steps from the Cathedral. The restaurant is owned by the Balog family and represents a must stop for all travelers with fine taste in good food and relaxing atmosphere. The place was visited by Croatian presidents, Franjo Tuđman and Stjepan Mesić, and this very place played an important role in the visit of Pope John Paul II to Đakovo and Slavonia.

 

Once run by Ivan Balog, his successor Reneo continues with a fine tradition to choose between a few safe-bet specialties. Shepard’s stews, local dish with beans and homemade sausage, wild steak, stuffed pork, homemade sausage kulin, and local-style pancakes make just parts of the luxurious and tasty menu created by chefs Marija Puclin and Smilja Živković.
