If you like pasta, try black pasta with sea brass, cherry tomatoes and onion or linguine pasta with fennel, mozzarella and zucchini. If you prefer meat – grilled beef steak with arugula is a must.

Restaurant owned by the famous footballer Zvonimir Boban is one of the rare places in Zagreb where you must wait for a table during lunch hours. The explanation is quite simple, the same as the two-decades long idea behind the restaurant: pleasant, rustic interior of the cellar, agile and professional staff and, of course, tons and tons of exquisitely prepared pasta. The menu does not bring any surprises, or disappointments: bruschette, crostini, beef and tuna carpaccio are the main starters, whereas pasta prepared in a million different ways is the most popular main courses. Meat dishes are not numerous in Boban, but you can choose between the usual chicken, rump steak, beef steak (one of the best in Zagreb), and the delicious horse meat. Winner dessert in Boban is Zvone’s cake – chocolate cake with cherries. The wine list is very rich and quite acceptable in prices, whereas they also sell many sorts of wine by the glass.
