Baranjska Kuca
Basic Info
Description
Halfway between Knezevi Vinogradi Vineyards and Beli Manastir, a settlement called Karanac hides a restaurant called Baranjska Kuca (The House of Baranja). All the dishes on the menu are tied to tradition of this Croatian region, as approved by owners Vladimir and Mirjana Skrobo. Guests can enjoy local delicacies such as fish stews prepped above the open fire, while carp is grilled on local raslja-skewers.
Meat dishes such as veal and lamb are roasted in the large bread oven, while the salads are prepared from the ingredients of a garden in the vicinity. Baranja is the only part of Croatia where they serve snails, as in Baranjska Kuca, they are among the most ordered specialty.
