The beautiful park-beach of Verudela is located in the vicinity of Pula, and hides a gorgeous natural site of Kanjon. Basically, it is a very deep and narrow cove, surrounded by thick vegetation and layers of white Istrian stone. It looks similar to a river canyon (such as Kupa’s), hence the name, and is among favorite sites for swimming in the Pula Riviera.
But apart from swimming and jumping of tourists into the Adriatic, Kanjon is often used by Pula’s Speleological society for a different kind of entertainment. Periodically throughout the year, usually on days associated with the things of ecological nature, this organization installs a zipline between two sides of the cove, and calls for brave attendants to have an adrenaline-pumping experience of traversing Kanjon above the ground and sea.
A separate zipline is installed for youngest users, so tots can also enjoy this unique activity in Kanjon. And as you can see from the photos in our gallery below, people of all generations gladly dare to embark on a short but exciting ride over Pula’s outdoors.
