Njivice is a small settlement located in northwest parts of Krk, an Island in Croatian Sea which was thought to be the largest only a few decades ago. However, more precise measurements showed that neighboring Cres is slightly larger, a fact which doesn’t mean that Krk isn’t a lovely destination on Adriatic Coast. Walking the shores of Njivice, for example, means walking the promenades over half of millennia old, as historical documents the settlement existed as early as 15th century. Most people worked as fisherman and stockbreeders, but impressive surroundings and pleasant vibe prompted the locals to open the first hotel in 1930.
