Combining meat with fruits of the sea isn’t the most usual approach in cooking. However, in some cases, it can really lead to fantastic results. If you are a fan of experimentation, and like to play with your ingredients, seashells with pancetta will surely be a worthy match for your culinary skills. Not to mention it might become a regular meal under your roof, due to its fine and exquisite aromas. Here’s how to make it!

What You Will Need

12 chops of pancetta

2 kg seashells (oysters will do just fine)

1 clove of garlic

150 ml apple cider

Basil (fresh or dried)

Parsley (fresh or dried)

Seashells with Pancetta Recipe

Take those fine pancetta chops and fry them on some lovely olive oil. Once they become crispy, transfer them to a separate bowl.

Combine apple cider with minced garlic and pour the liquid into the pot with sea shells. Cover the food and heat up to the boiling point. Every now and then, gently stir the pot so that the ingredients mix nicely. Once every seashell opens, consider them done.

Transfer the seashells into a separate plate. Don’t throw away the juice in which they were cooked. Rather, insert the pancetta chops in it, together with basil and parsley. Cook all that for another two minutes, and finally pour the liquid over the seashells.
