It is a delicacy simple to make, delight to taste and will embrace your entire home with citrus flavors. Known for its strong scent, this dessert actually got its unofficial name thanks to this unique feature. Scents of Orange Cake is the sweet joy which shows many of your cooking talents. Open the windows and your handsome neighbor might come for a slice. But before that happens, you need to make the dish, according to our recipe.

What you will need

4 oranges

4 eggs

150 g sugar

300 g flour

1 package of baking powder

Scents of Orange Cake Preparation

The first step is simple: heat the oven at 170°C. Use oranges which were ecologically harvested from organic fields and which were not subject of insect repellents. Put them in the pot, pour with hold water and cook for 15 minutes in order to soften their fruit. Replace the hot water with the cold one and repeat the procedure. This second cooking will lower the skin’s bitterness. Cool down the fruit and dry it- but don’t remove the skin.

After you pluck out the pits from the oranges, cut the fruit on small pieces. Use hand blender to mash them thoroughly, and combine them with eggs, sugar, flour and baking powder. This compound should be inserted into a cooking mold covered with butter. Put in the oven for an hour.

As you wait for the baking to complete, make the orange syrup. Squeeze the two oranges, extracting the juice. Take the skin and cut it on small track-like pieces. Cook these in a pot of boiling water for five minutes, after which you should align them on a sheet of kitchen paper. In a bowl, put sugar, orange juice and the aforementioned track-pieces. Cook these ingredients until the sugar is completely melted.

Once the baking of the cake is complete, pour syrup over its upper layer while delicacy is still in the mold. Congratulations, scents of orange cake is complete!
