Maybe they are the seniors of heavy metal, but there’s nothing senior when they come onstage. Iron Maiden Concert is always a prime musical experience, and the one recently held in Split Spaladium has been no different. The band has confirmed to be one of the most powerful identities on the global music scene, and their performance was nothing short of spectacular. The numerous audiences numbered attendees from all ages and backgrounds, proving that heavy metal is universal phenomenon, and can attract even the newest generations.
The band’s actual world tour “Book of Souls” promotes their novel album, sixteenth in their decades-old history. Yet, as in every other Iron Maiden concert, the new songs were performed along with their greatest hits, including “The Trooper”, “Powerslave”, “Wasted Years” and “Fear of the Dark.”
The band is travelling the world in their private custom-decorated Boeing 747-400, known as “Ed Force One”, named after their much-popular mascot. Their next stop is Romanian capital of Bucharest, after which they will perform two more times, concluding the tour. Fans of the band expressed hope that Iron Maiden will return to Croatia soon, as their last concert was on Poljud Stadium in 2008.
