Croatia is Europe’s Best Business Tourism Destination

Thinking about organizing a white collar conference in a relaxing, vacation-like atmosphere? According to British magazine Business Destinations, Croatia is the best place to go on the Old Continent.  In the recent competition, the country’s National Tourist Board has won the first prize in the category for Europe’s best business tourism destinations. The magazine also determined the best hotels, airpots, airline companies and facilities on global level.

“The fact that nomination and selection of winners is carried out by the editorial board of the magazine together with numerous readers and business service users around the world make this award even more important to us,“ Kristijan Stancic the director of Croatian National Tourist Board commented.

„Namely, business tourism is an important tourist product because individual and group business guests make up a stable market, which is, depending on trends, the most prevalent in the pre-and the later periods.“

According to information gained from hotel owners, business-centered visitors in Croatia account for 10 to 15 percent of all hotel guests. In future this number will probably increase, due to country’s promotional campaings on the leading congresses dealing with this part of the industy.
