Big Picture: The Chapel of Saints Philip and James
Ascending above Zagreb roofs, one can find the fort of Medvedgrad, constructed in 13th century. Rumors spread across the land that an evil witch known as “Black Queen” resides there, which led to many tales of Zagreb folklore. Today, Medvedgrad is a place of numerous historical monuments, including the small chapel of apostles Philip and James, photographed above.
