About Soline (Dugi Otok)
Located in the picturesque cove of Soliscica, the small village of Soline offers a relaxing and fulfilling stay to every visitor. The surrounding valley has very deep water, making it an ideal spot to drop the anchor, even for owners of large naval vessels.
But the size might deceive, as Soline has a very long history. First mentioned in 12th century, it received its name due to a number of saltworks which operate in the vicinity (the word ‘sol’ means ‘salt’ in Croatian language).
In the vicinity of Soline, guests can find the sand beach of Sakarun, one of Croatia’s most renowned coastal localities and a true symbol of Dugi Otok.
