About Lovran
Named after a laurel, which abundantly grows on the slopes of Ucka Mountain, the town of Lovran boasts with its long history and celebrates more than a century of tradition in tourism. With preserved historical core and city planning typical for medieval times, it charms with the old bastions and defensive walls.
Together with neighboring Opatija resort, it is a trademark of Croatian tourist offer, with features including villas by Viennese architect Carl Seidel and the enchanted beach of Medea, a site where the renowned heroine of Greek Mythology supposedly had bathed.
