During summer, most of things happening in Croatia occur on the coasts of Adriatic. However, once calendar reaches colder months, the inland regions of the country become very vivid and attractive tourist localities. For example, Fall Season in Zagorje region is always a treat, and many opt to visit this part of Croatia simply to enjoy the colors of local plains and forests.
Zagorje is located in the northwest of Croatia. It is very picturesque part of the country, known for the beauty of its mountains and valleys. The region is also culturally rich, with many monuments and historical points of interests to visit. After all, Zagorje was the center of notable peasant rebellion in 16th century, as well as the birthplace of Yugoslav leader Josip Broz Tito. Thorough excavations revealed the former existence of Neanderthal communities, as can be learned in museum that exists in Krapina town. Furthermore, visitors who have relaxation in mind can fulfill their wishes in numerous spa centers, such as the one in Stubica.
Yet, in most cases, all you need to enjoy fall season in Zagorje region is go outside and spend some time in the beautiful sceneries of red, brown and yellow. Just strolling through the paths that go through local forests is an attraction that nobody will charge, and you can stay as long as you want. Both relaxing and inspiring, the fall sceneries can greatly contribute to your sense of wellbeing.
